The Disability Trust Accommodation Service is funded by the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care.
The aim of our disability accommodation service is to assist people with disabilities in NSW to live independently whether in their own homes or in group homes by providing training and support services which cater to the needs of each individual.
Independent Living support and training is a disability service offered to people with disabilities who are over 18 years of age, can manage basic self-care and wish to live in their own flat or house.
All applicants to the Disability Accommodation Indpendent Living service are interviewed by the Co-ordinator and can be accompanied by family / carer / advocate or community worker.
Applications are assessed in relation to the support hours required. If
the service is unable to offer support within four weeks, the applicant
is placed
on a waiting list until a support worker is available.

The Disability Trust also provides disability accommodation services through a small number of group homes for people with disabilities. Group Home placements are coordinated by the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care ( DADHC ) Accommodation Vacancy Coordination Procedure.
