The Disability Trust is pleased to announce that we have been chosen to operate the Mountview Centre in Balgownie currently being operated by the NSW Government. Pictured signing the transfer are Brad Pym TDT Chairperson, Carol Armstrong, Company Secretary, The Hon. Raymond Craig Williams, Minister for Disability Services and Ed Birt, Chief Operating Officer for The Disability Trust.
The centre includes a 16 bed Specialist Supported Living (SSL) group home and a five bedroom respite home (Temporary Care Unit).
The Disability Trust will be working closely with FACS and forming a Transfer Team over the coming weeks to ensure the smooth transfer of services, information and systems. We will be progressing The Dmeetings with residents, families and staff in partnership with FACS in the lead up to taking over operations at the end of June.
The Disability Trust fortunately already knows many of the residents directly and we look forward to building on these relationships and supporting the residents into the future.
To ensure continuity of support for all Mountview residents and a smooth transfer, all existing FACS staff at the centre will transfer to The Disability Trust and we are excited to have the Mountview employees joining our team.
