Work Connections (Getting a Job) 

Work Connections is a service of The Disability Trust which provides support to participants to attain the necessary skills, qualifications, experience and independence to achieve their vocational and life goals in a fun and supportive way. 

Work Connections provides participants with programs of their choice around key domains of 
life including: 

  • School leaver employment support (SLES) 
  • Prevocational Learning - Finding a job 
  • Vocational - Keeping a Job 


Each participant is empowered to make choices and decisions in planning goals and strategies through their individualised program. 

Work Connections takes a flexible approach in identifying that everyone in unique and that each person’s needs are varied and will change over time. Our programs focus on employment goals and other activities that are motivating, rewarding, and delivered in supportive and enjoyable contexts. 

Each participant is supported and trained by our highly experienced Employment Consultants focussed on helping participants reach their personal potential and successfully achieve and maintain rewarding employment. 

Want to try out with some work sampling we can help with 

  • supervised visits to businesses and workplaces 
  • work experience and job trials relating to Employment 


We can also assist with vocational training to help you achieve

  • qualifications to make you more employable and job ready.

With over 20 years’ experience as a respected employment provider our Employment Support Workers can also help you with: 

  • travel training 
  • money and budget management
  • the RTA Drivers Program
  • literacy and numeracy skills
  • personal presentation
  • job ready skills
  • working as part of a team
  • WH&S and safety in the workplace
  • social activities
