Carol has extensive experience in the disability sector, and has worked as an advocate and in the government and non-government sectors. Prior to joining The Disability Trust, Carol was the CEO of the NSW Council for Intellectual Disability, and has held senior roles in the oversight of the disability sector with the NDIS Ombudsman, and in market development with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
Carol is passionate about human rights, and began her professional life as a solicitor specialising in human rights law. She has also worked as a policy adviser, researcher and has served on a number of Boards, including the Australian Council for Social Service (ACOSS). Carol is strongly committed to giving people a voice and taking action to improve quality of life and opportunities for people with disability.
