Wayne is a qualified company secretary and accountant with expertise in the areas of governance, accounting, risk management, banking and finance as well as management. In addition, he is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Following his 30-year career at IMB, Wayne serves the Illawarra community through various roles, some of which include project work on the Wollongong Harbour with the NSW Government, the relaunch of the Hawks basketball club, and work with the Churches of Christ. Although now retired from full time work Wayne continues to be available for advisory and consulting roles, volunteers on the Boards of Warrigal Care, the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre, the Southern Illawarra Church of Christ and Wollongong Symphony Orchestra Foundation Ltd, Wollongong City of Innovation Ltd known as Destinations Wollongong, Pulse 941, and the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music Ltd.
Wayne joined The Disability Trust Board in 2017 and has a genuine commitment to add value to the Mission and Vision of The Disability Trust in the creation of an inclusive world.
