Partnering organisations VOX FM, The Disability Trust Headway and Greenacres will be recognised at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) on Saturday October 26th for the Disability Broadcasters Award for Excellence in Community Engagement.
With two programs running for over ten years, The Disability Trust’s Headway program offers listeners a unique approach as it invites individuals with acquired brain injuries across the Illawarra region to partake in communication and information sharing surrounding personal experiences with the NDIS.
This is the first time an Illawarra community radio station have been nominated for the award.
The Disability Trust Headway program broadcasts weekly every Tuesday from 12pm – 1pm.
