The Disability Trust pushes ahead with vaccine rollout in ACT
The Disability Trust has partnered with federally funded health service provider Aspen Medical to implement a COVID-19 vaccination programme for participants and staff members in the ACT.
The Disability Trust has supported many people with disability who access our programs to get their vaccinations and pleasingly they have described being more comfortable receiving the vaccination at a familiar place with their own staff and others they live with.
Staff members have also been provided access under the scheme. So far 40 staff have already received the vaccination as part of the Phase 1A roll out, and another vaccination day has been booked in 2 weeks’ time, with 25 staff members on the list.
ACT Manager Ashleigh Saunders said “families of our participants are extremely happy that The Disability Trust has been able to coordinate vaccinations with Aspen Medical. The Phase 1A roll out has gone very smoothly, and Aspen Medical have been wonderful with all our residents and the many staff members who have signed up to have the vaccination through The Disability Trust.”
