Nariman and Zoe are both clients of The Disability Trust and they previously lived in separate homes when they became great friends. They both decided that they would like to live together and moved into The Disability Trust’s Dilkara house just before Christmas.
They found the home to be much more suitable to their needs and at present it is only the two of them but they are looking forward to sharing their house with more people and making new friends.
Nariman and Zoe love the home as it has a great swimming pool and with the hot weather over the summer, it has been wonderful to be able to cool off with a swim in their very own backyard. “I love living in Dilkara,” says Zoe “my new home is lovely it is like living in a resort and I feel like I am on holiday every day.”
The girls spend a lot of time together and in Nariman’s words do “a lot of girly things together and go out shopping a lot”, but most importantly for Nariman, “I always feel safe in my new home and I especially like that I always have staff around me to support me or to help me with things that I find difficult – like budgeting and cooking and cleaning. Dilkara is the best place that I have ever lived in.”
