In what has been an interrupted year the SLES group at Campbelltown has persevered and strived to not let the negatives of COVID get in the way of them achieving their goals and moving into employment.
Sean Briggs’s passion for warehousing began last year at school so SLES Facilitator at The Disability Trust Simone Moss helped him to organise work experience in Ingleburn.
Sean enjoyed the constant busy pace and tasks that the job provided. Now Sean’s goal is to get a paid job in warehousing.
“I would also like to gain a forklift license and gain my L’s license as I would feel more independent and be able to drive myself to work in the future”.
Congrats Sean and our SLES participants. For more information on The Disability Trust’s School Leaver Employment Support in your area please contact 1300 347 224.
