Thank you to all of our families, participants and staff who have been working with us as we navigate the lockdown and continue with services where possible. Our focus has been on supporting our valued participants as much as we can while following the advice of NSW Health.
Unfortunately there has been a recent case of COVID-19 transmission during a day program at another disability service provider in Sydney which has resulted in further restrictions being announced by the NSW Government. As a result, from 6:00pm on 27 July 2021 until 10 August 2021 inclusive, day programs in the Greater Sydney region including the Illawarra and Shellharbour are unable to continue. There are only very specific circumstances where NSW Health has allowed support to continue, for example where non-attendance at a day program would result in a risk of harm to the person with disability or others.
Many of our programs have already been adjusted and online options introduced to enable us to continue to stay in touch and support you and your loved ones over this difficult time. For programs where we need to make further changes, affected families will be contacted by our staff.
