For 4 men from the Hunter Valley COVID-19 could not stop them from moving into their beautiful new house. The new residents moved from a large residential centre that is closing and the team from The Disability Trust did a superb job managing the move and making them feel comfortable in their new home on the South Coast closer to family and friends.
The residents have been telling us that despite not being able to go out they are enjoying relaxing on the front veranda with a beautiful view of the peaceful park, while enjoying afternoon tea, and saying hello to the neighbours as they pass by.
They love trying out new recipes and developing their kitchen skills and then take lots of walks and do exercises in the park to work off the cakes they enjoy.
The group are very similar in their likes and hobbies, they are all so happy to be living together and that they have each other for company so never feel alone, despite the current lack of visitors.
